Xander hadn't forgotten what day it was just because there was a date yesterday too. In fact shopping for today might have something to do with why he was a little late for yesterday.

...And being a Harris might have something to do with why his apartment now smells like a combination of chocolate cake and burny, burny death.

Hooray for good ventilation systems? By which we mean a fan and a lot of open windows.

"Whatever am I gonna do with those?"

"I can think of something," Bridge says. "It's a two player game, though."

"Kinda hope so. Playing wi-- uh, by yourself just isn't as fun."

Bridge snickers. "Good choice of words there," he says. "So, uh. You wanna go first?"

"You want your present first, maybe?" Xander suggests. "Or we could give mine a testdrive..."

"...Both options have their appeal but I'm gonna have to go with present," Bridge says, after thinking about it for approximately one and a half seconds.

Xander leans over the arm of the couch for a moment and reaches down to pick up a square package wrapped in bright blue paper. "I was morally and ethically required to buy you this once I knew it existed."

Bridge unwraps the present and just kind of... stares at it for a few moments before bursting in to laughter. "I love you," he says fondly.

"'Course, if you pimp your bed with that, it'll mostly only impress Anders and RIC," Xander muses.

"Hey! I'll have you know that people other than Anders and RIC spend time in my room. Granted, not at night when the lights are off."

"Unless you're Japanese."

"...True," Bridge admits. "Still. Are you saying you've got a better suggestion as to whose bed this should belong with?"

"Well, you got me a present we can both use. Seems like it's only fair." He's generous that way. Really.

"That does have a certain logic to it," Bridge muses thoughtfully. "Now I suppose the question is, whose present do we want to use first?"

"The dice are closer," Xander points out. "And need less non-included hardware."

"Yet again with the logic," Bridge says. "One might say you're on a *roll*."

Xander frowns and picks up the dice. "Is there a combo here that comes out to 'Pinch butt?' "

"I don't think so," Bridge says. "But didn't you mention something about that yesterday? So technically, you owe me one regardless."

"So I do." Xander reaches over to take care of that problem.

"I don't let just anyone do that, just so you know," Bridge informs him. "In fact, that's actually a Xander-only privilege."

"See, and I'd been wondering," Xander says. No, he hasn't.

"...Really?"

"Really not."

"Good," Bridge says with a nod. "Just... good."

"I never wonder." Xander shakes his head, cupped handful of pewter dice sliding along Bridge's knee. "Not about that."
