Xander hadn't forgotten what day it was just because there was a date yesterday too. In fact shopping for today might have something to do with why he was a little late for yesterday.

...And being a Harris might have something to do with why his apartment now smells like a combination of chocolate cake and burny, burny death.

Hooray for good ventilation systems? By which we mean a fan and a lot of open windows.

"Nope, but I'm open to suggestions."

"Hmm," Bridge says thoughtfully, slowly pulling off his gloves. And then he works on removing a certain shirt-shaped obstacle. With that taken care of, he resumes the trail-of-kisses until he reaches the unbuttoned fly that had been the catalyst for this whole ending-up-on-the-floor thing.

"Really, really...open," Xander babbles.

Bridge grins, tugging Xander's jeans and boxers down and out of the way. "Now where was I? Oh, yeah..." and then his mouth is busy again, only not so much with the kissing (or the talking) this time.

"Yeah, there's--" That'd be a gasp and somebody forgetting what the hell he was going to say. "Good. Yeah. That."

Bridge is a little too occupied to offer a verbal reply, though he *does* employ the use of his tongue.

Xander's plenty verbal; it's just that none of it's in English. He may possibly have just recited the Declaration of Independence in Lobster, though.

Bridge isn't familiar with any sort of crustacean languages, so he chooses to take that as encouragement.

And if Bridge were able to read the narrative, he'd be pleased to note that he apparently rates twelve "very"s.

Only if he were counting out loud. But it's already been established that his mouth is a little too busy for that.

Even without the ability to count the number of verys he's rating, Bridge can tell that he's obviously on the right track, here.

The metaphor that pops in to Bridge's head is more like "grooving a pitch right down the middle", followed by a mental damnit, Anders. Stupid sports metaphors. And now he's got his roommate on his mind which might not normally be a bad thing but at a time like this? No, no, no. Back to pulling in to the station, then.

Luckily for Xander, he can't read minds. Luckily for Bridge, Xander's mostly consists of rapidly-firing neurons and Oh YEAH right now.

Luckily for both of them, see above re Xander's brain not working, so there are no Kool-Aid Man images floating around. Well, except in the narrative. Unluckily for the reader.

This is a good thing (except, of course, for the reader) because the Kool-Aid Man is very high on the list of "DO NOT WANT" right at this moment. Possibly even above ridiculous sports metaphors.

Bridge, on the other hand, or mouth as the case might be, is at the top of the "WANT" list. Except for there's no list and Xander's currently getting exactly what he wants, but aside from that, yes.

There's also "Goal!", except for how that's a different sport. Slowly, Bridge makes his way back up until he's face to face with Xander again. "Happy Valentine's Day," he murmurs.

"Bibble?" Xander offers. He manages to scrape up the energy to grin when he says it.

"Good bibble?" the grin sort of gives answer away, but he asks anyway.

"Unbeatable bibble." Xander pulls him close. "Happy Valentine's Day."
