"It's kind of happening to you too," Xander points out, giving up trying to parse that in favor of grasping at pointless details.

"Yeah," Bridge groans, dropping his forehead against Xander's shoulder. "S'never happened to me before."

"Being with a guy who couldn't.... well yeah, since you've never been with anybody before me." Which requires a pause. "Oh, no. Trust me no no, it is not you."

"Good," Bridge lets out a deep breath. "Cause, you know, we only just made it to six months. Would hate to think you were bored already. I know I'm not. Really really not."

"So not bored," Xander assures him. "Pissed? Definitely on the specials list, but we're not serving bored."

"Good," Bridge says again. "Which I said already, but. You know. It bears repeating. Because there's a lot of stuff we haven't done yet, and I'm not just talking about, you know, sex. But life stuff. Life-together stuff."

"Dude, I'm not checking out here. They make pills and stuff." He's twenty-eight. Gah. He shouldn't need pills. "Whatever. I realize we didn't actually mention it in the wedding vows, but it's part of the whole sickness/health thing."

"You're not gonna need *pills*," Bridge says. "It'll get better. It has to! Even if I have to give it a, a, pep talk, I will!"

"...Yes?" It's not his craziest idea! Near the top of the list, maybe, but not his craziest.

Xander just repeats slowly, "A pep talk."

"I draw the line at pom-poms, though," Bridge says seriously.

"...You're kind of twisted," Xander says, not without a note of admiration in his voice.

"It beats calling Sky to see if it's an alien spell, right?" Blink. Blink. Not that the blinking is easy to see in the dark. "Or maybe you should call Anders."

"Anders doesn't live here," Bridge replies, confused. Annnnd sliding down the mattress until he's face-to-Xander's-dick, yes.

"I meant what if it's a Fandom thing, not an alien thing. Like the tru---- oooh, Hi." Warm breath is warm.

"Hey," Bridge looks back up at Xander and flashes him a grin before focusing back on the matter at hand. "So, you know, I don't know whether this is an alien thing, or a Fandom thing, but it's pretty much gotta be one of those, 'cause I know you wouldn't just up and quit on us, right?" he says earnestly. "I mean, you've got no reason to, what with hey, number one fan, right here. Seriously. Pretty much spoiled for anyone else ever now." And, okay, yeah, he feels pretty ridiculous, doing this whole... thing with the direct address and the pronouns but at this point he's not about to discount the possibility that it might actually work.

Okay, admittedly that stirring is coming from Xander's badly-contained laughter, but it's a start, right?

Well, sure! "Should I keep going?"

That wasn't a giggle. "...Sure."

"Right, okay. So as I was saying. Number one fan! And I know you can do this, I've seen you do it lots of times! And you know how I said before how there's lots of not-just-sex things I'd still like to do? Well, there's lots of sex things I'd like to try too, and they sort of hinge on your co-operation here." At the very least, it seems to be bringing Xander's *mood* up, which, Bridge feels, makes it worth it.

Xander stops laughing into his pillow long enough to tap Bridge on the top of his head. "Dork."
