MCA0, Monday Morning

Like last weekend, Xander had spent this one with his boyfriend. Unlike last weekend, said boyfriend was in no condition to do any... practice-exam-taking. As you do on Spring Break weekends. Instead, there was a lot of ice cream, ear-skritching, DVD-watching, and working up plans for a closet-remodel.

At least he still had a warm body to sleep with? Even if half the time he woke up with a furry tail tickling the end of his nose.

Which, oddly, isn't happening right now. Xander's 7/8ths asleep, so he isn't quite registering what's wrong with that, but his fingers are already patting around on the pillow reaching for something that isn't there.

"Oh," Bridge wrinkles his nose a bit. "Don't get me wrong, I like learning stuff, but I'm also a big fan of breaks. Especially when I've got the best boyfriend ever to spend 'em with." First Spring Break might not be quite as milestone-y as first Valentine's Day, but it still deserves celebration, Bridge feels.

"Well, it's not like we can't learn new things," Xander suggests with a grin that might possibly be construed as less than innocent.

"On the other hand...that is a very good point."

"I even have books." Xander nods. "Or, ah, other visual aids."

Bridge snickers, remembering a certain summer and a certain best friend who'd asked Xander for help with... research. "I remember."

"Hey, some of them are new!"

"All the more reason to share them then," Bridge says. "...With me," he adds after a pause.

"So glad you narrowed that down," Xander says dryly.

"Well I suppose if someone wanted to borrow something they could," Bridge allows. "I just mean, if that's the sort of thing you're going to watch *with* someone, then that someone should be me."

"We're being awfully theoretical about this for two people who just spent a weekend as different species."

"It's not so much the fact that I wouldn't mind moving from theoretical into more practical, uh, discussion as it is the fact that I really like this part too," Bridge admits. "The just... being here in bed with you part."

Xander's mouth widens in a slow smile. "Dork." He pulls Bridge closer. "Slightly less furry dork."

"Also I lack a tail," Bridge points out helpfully.

"You're sure?" Xander checks. Just to be sure.

"I'm s- whaaat are you doing?"

"Making sure!"

"I do not have a tail," Bridge says. Not that he's objecting, exactly, to the presence of Xander's hand there, or... anywhere. "I don't have a tail, and *you* don't have pointy ears."

"I didn't have pointy ears when I went to bed last night!"

"You could've," Bridge says. "But I might not have noticed what with being busy being a ferret and all."

"Cutest Ferret Ever, in case you were wondering," Xander says. Because he has so much experience with non-Bridge ferrets, yes.

"Yeah?" Bridge asks. "I think you might be biased a little, there."

"Maybe," Xander agrees.

"There are probably actual ferrets who are cuter," Bridge reasons. "Because they've had time to practice being all ferrety."

"Yeah, but you're smarter. 'Cause you've still got you-brain when you're a ferret. Sort of."

"Ice cream is *very exciting*, okay?" Bridge says defensively.
