Xander is doing something that... well, some people might call it cooking. Probably not people who actually know how to operate a stove, though. There's chicken, or something that started out as chicken, but then he got distracted by the pasta boiling over, and now it's the artist formerly known as chicken. And the superglue formerly known as pasta.

So... pretty much Xander's doing something that's more properly described as 'staring at his kitchen and wondering if it'd be cheating to dump the whole thing and start pressing random buttons on the food replicator.'

It's been... a day.

"Uh?"

"I hadn't thought about it uh, not I have a meatball stuck in my throat uh," Xander clarifies.

"Well, it is sort of early," Bridge admits with a sheepish grin. "It's just... the first time we'd actually be together to actually *do* any sort of birthday-celebrating so I- I want it to be something special, you know?"

Xander smiles. "Well, I wouldn't say no to a party, minus surprise body parts or crazy vampire attacks. I wouldn't say no a little celebrating later by special inviation only, either."

"So noted," Bridge nods. "So who am I giving 'special' invitations to?" he asks, in what he hopes is a totally serious voice.

"I guess that'd be up to you," Xander says with equal seriousness.

"Well it's *your* birthday," Bridge says with a shrug.

"True. But I was thinking it might be a costume party, with some kind of No Pants theme?"

"Right," Bridge says with a nod. "And you're leaving the guest list up to me?" He's... really not sure where he's going with this, actually.

"I trust your judgment."

"Hmm," Bridge says thoughtfully. "So you wouldn't be... disappointed or anything, if only one particular person showed up?"

"I guess it would depend on the person."

"About yay high," Bridge says, holding his hand up to indicate... his own height, surprise surprise, "blue eyes, thinks you're pretty much his favourite person ever..."

"I'd say Andrew? just to make you flail, but that would be mean."

"Very, very, mean," Bridge says solemnly. "Besides, I think Neil would probably object."

"Good for Neil," Xander says, nodding. "...Who's Neil?"

"Formerly Conner's roommate," Bridge says. "And currently Andrew's boyfriend."

Xander snickers. "So another victim of the amazing Conner McKnight Gay Now Powers?"

"He does seem to have something of a track record, doesn't he?"

"Can't blame it all on him, though. I never roomed with him."

"I'm from the same reality as him, though, and also he met a future version of me before coming to FH though he doesn't remember that part," Bridge points out.

"Point. Though that'd be some pretty strong gaymaking power if it worked on everybody from the same dimension. Also possibly we should warn Tori."

"Also, I guess that doesn't really make much sense since I was dating you before I even met Conner," Bridge admits.

"It's retroactive! That throws the field wide open - I can see the headlines now. Scientists Discover Conner McKnight Made Dinosaurs Gay. Extinction Explained At Last!"

"Huh," Bridge says thoughtfully. "Maybe that's the *real* reason why Mesogog wanted to be rid of him. Not because he was a Power Ranger, but because he'd totally foil his bringing-back-the-dinosaurs plan even *without* being a Ranger."
