MCA0: Saturday Afternoon

If Bridge and Xander slept in really, really late and are still kind of lazing around in bed, well, it's been a long, busy week. And if they're still really, really sleepy, well, yesterday was prom night, and Xander had visiting royalty in his bed. You do the math.

"Should make breakfast," Bridge murmurs. Note how he doesn't actually move from his rather comfortable spot on the bed with his head using Xander's shoulder as a pillow.

Xander cracks an eye open --- guess which one -- noting the light slanting in through the windows. "Possibly lunch."

"Could be brunch," Bridge points out helpfully.

"I think we might be pushing the edge of lupper," Xander says with a yawn.

"...Possibly, yes," Bridge admits.

"I could..." Snuggle a bit more. "Get up and make some, I guess." Or snuggle a bit more.

"Have you figured out a way to do that without actually moving?" Bridge asks.

"I'm working on it." With his brain.

From somewhere waasaaaaaaaay across the apartment, there's the dull sound of someone or something thumping on the door.

"Someone's knocking," Bridge observes, truly putting those brilliant detective skills of his to work.

"I think you're right," Xander replies. He'll move soon. Really.

From allllllll the way across the apartment, there's a slightly more insistent thumping.

"Your door," Bridge mumbles. "You answer it."

"It might be the latke-delivery guy," Xander points out.

What? It's Passover. Pizza's technically out.

"We haven't prank-called Parker lately or anything," Bridge retorts.

"...We totally should."

"...Get the door," Xander finishes. Because clearly whoever it is isn't going away. "This means I need pants, doesn't it."

"There's a time and a place for pantslessness, and answering the door is neither of those," Bridge says firmly.

Okay, fine, so there's disentangling and slightly less pantslessness, and long, grumbly trek to the door.

...possibly a kick to the door for good measure. After which she stands there looking slightly sheepish. Slightly.

"Yeah, yeah, I HEARD YOU," Xander growls as he opens the door. "What the he--"

And then there's just staring.

Sheepish look? Quickly replaced by a brilliant smile as Bronwyn launches herself at Xander. "Daddy, Daddy, DADDY! Hi hi hi!"

And Xander's a little.... he's fairly sure he possesses the power of speech. Really.

"Why'd you move your 'partment?" Bronwyn asks. "I tried to find you and Daddy so I knocked but instead there was Miss Lulu and some guy who's home cause he's NOT my daddy and she made me eggs benefits and orange juice. And then I knocked on lots and LOTS of doors and then I knocked on this door and okay I kinda kicked it too and I'm really, really sorry,"
