Bali H'ai, Friday Night: a beachside restaurant, then places more secluded

It's Friday, which means no work and there's that trip up the mountain tonight. It's also Xander's anniversary, which means as cool as the volcano might be -- you'd hope -- the rest of Fandom can enjoy trekking up it in this decidedly not-cool weather without them.

"That was good," Xander says as the door closes behind them and they scuff out into the sand. "Different, but good."

"So present here?" Xander looks around to check, but they're alone on the beach, and if any squirrels have followed them over from Fandom, it's probably not the scariest thing they've ever seen. "Or wait 'til we get home?"

"Okay. You've got bail money if I get arrested, right?"

Without waiting for an answer to that, Xander turns around, so he's looking out at the ocean and the distant lights of Fandom, then unbuttons his jeans.

"..." Bridge is very confused right about now.

He shoves his shirt-tail out of the way and lowers them. Just part-way and just the back, since Xander has no desire to flash the distant lights of Fandom.

Bridge leans in to get a closer look... and then once he sees just what it is he's supposed to be looking at, he can't help but laugh. Just a little.

"Well," he finally manages. "I guess I'm not going to need to carry around a Sharpie anymore."

"It's like what you wrote but with less butt-needling," Xander says, his jeans falling down a little further when he lets go to gesture.

"I love you so much right now," Bridge says, not commenting on the jeans-falling-down because he's still a little busy appreciating the view- the new and improved view, at that.

"You love me more when you're looking at my ass? I guess I'll take that as a compliment."

Bridge snorts. "Well. Technically speaking it's actually," he reaches out, lightly brushing the fingertips of one hand on the skin just below the tattoo, "mine, now."

"Yeeaaah," he agrees. It's still tender, but that doesn't stop Xander from leaning back into the touch. "Though technically speaking, California's a community property state."

"Uh huh," Bridge says. And then realises something. "*That's* why you've been weird all week!"

"We're off the coast of Fandom." Xander points across the water. "Define 'weird.'"

"All sneaky! With the getting up before I do- you are *so* not a morning person! And showering by yourself and getting undressed in the dark and, and, and... sneaky!" he points a finger accusingly.

"Maybe I'm just shy." Xander covers a snicker and almost loses the jeans. "Speaking of which can I pull my pants back up over your ass now?"

"Only if you promise to pull them back down again as soon as we get home," Bridge replies.

"Can I e-mail Willow first? I promised she'd be the first person I tell."

"If it's a quick email," Bridge says. "Because..." he leans forward, sliding his hands up underneath Xander's shirt. "We may have the rest of our lives together, but I was thinking there should be some celebration of that particular fact, maybe starting with..." he lowers his voice then to whisper something in Xander's ear.
