If Xander's been a little clingy today - like "Call me when you get out of class and come straight back here plz" clingy - who's going to mock him for it? After landing on your ass in Prohibition-Era Chicago, not knowing what might happen if the folks in Fandom didn't find a way to get you all home, and spending a month away from everyone you know -- give or take seventy-five years -- you'd be clingy too.

Possibly not at the same time with the same person because that way leads to confusion and the establishment of hard and fast rules about not groping Marty Blank. Not dirty.

So anyway, yeah. There might be a couch and some popcorn and somebody attached to somebody else's side in a not entirely unlimpetlike manner.

"Even then," Bridge shakes his head. "I wouldn't. You're the only one I've ever, well... and that's important, to me."

The conversation they'd had in Caritas -- or almost had, before Xander had shuddered and changed the subject -- comes back to Xander, a little faintly at first because it's been over a month, after all.

"Me too," he says slowly. "I mean-- ah hell, I don't know what I mean."

"I get it," Bridge says, finishing the last of his milkshake and then looks pointedly at the empty space next to him, and then back over at Xander still sitting on the edge of the bed. "Also, you're too far away right now," he informs him with an exaggerated pout.

Xander takes a gulp of his shake that leaves him with a twinkie-flavored milk-mustache, then puts the glass down and crawls across the sofa-bed towards Bridge. "Better?"

"Much better," Bridge confirms, pout transforming into a grin.

Xander leans over to snag a piece of pizza, then returns, still mustachioed.

And really, there's only one logical course of action when confronted with a milkshake-mustachioed boyfriend. And that course of action involves lips and tongues and licking and even a bit of lip-nibbling thrown in for good measure.

Well, of course there's only one logical course. That's why Xander left the milk mustache on in the first place!

He probably shouldn't tell Bridge that, huh. Masters of sneakery do not reveal their secrets.

Of course, most masters of sneakery probably do not have psychic boyfriends. Luckily for this particular master of sneakery, this particular boyfriend is still wearing his gloves, and thus his secret is safe.

"Missed that too," he says. "And I don't mean the Twinkie-flavouring part."

"Only a few things I missed more than that," Xander replies with a nod. And a smirk.

"Than the Twinkie-flavouring? But you *had* Twinkies!"

Xander baps him with a pillow. "Than that." And then he demonstrates.

"Oooh," Bridge says at the conclusion of said demonstration. "So, those other things you missed more than that..." he trails off.

"Pretty much all attached to you in some way, shape, or form."

"Ditto," Bridge says. "Well, not the me part. I didn't miss me, I was right there."

"Is it twisted that I'm kinda jealous of you for that?"

"You had you," Bridge points out. "So I think actually we might be even."

"Not from where I'm standing." Not that he's standing.

"You're not standing," Bridge points out. "You're sitting. With me. And I'm with you. So we're both right where we belong," he concludes, shifting to lean up against Xander's side.

"Point." Xander wraps one arm around him and takes a bite of pizza from the other hand. "Really, really good point."

"Knew you'd see it my way," Bridge murmurs, pulling the blankets up and letting his eyes drift closed.

"Well, with slightly less depth of field. But yeah."

"M'not onna field," Bridge mumbles. "On a bed. Couch. Thing."

"It's too cold to sleep in a field," Xander says with a snicker, taking another bite of pizza before setting it aside and wrapping both arms around Bridge from behind.

"Zactly," Bridge agrees and I resist the urge to make a "Release" joke. "Maybe in the summer..."
