Xander and Bridge had been having a late dinner when the call came in. Logan hadn't given a lot of details, but what he had said was enough to leave Xander uninterested in the meal that was probably cold on the kitchen counter by now.

Why eat when you can pace your apartment and glance twitchily out the window all night?

Logan shot an angry glance at Bel, then looked back at Bridge. "Fine," he grumbled. "Just my aura, nothing else."

Bridge nods, taking off a glove and focusing on Logan. And comes up with... absolutely nothing that would indicate he's being anything less than truthful about having nothing to do with Angelus's reappearance. "He's telling the truth," Bridge tells Bel. "Your turn."

Veronica had found an out of the way corner to sit down and wait for the testosterone to dissipate. She was very happy to let Xander and Bridge deal with Logan and Bel until everyone was calm and they could have an adult conversation.

"Go for it," Bel said again, making a point to be entirely un-protesting, unlike Logan. "I'm not lying, you'll see. I don't want Angelus running around."

Bridge nods and turns to face Bel, scanning him the same way he'd scanned Logan. "He's telling the truth too," he says. "Are we all satisfied now?"
