There is a lump under the covers. It's vaguely Xander-shaped, but that is of course no guarantee that it actually is Xander, all tuckered out from...uh. Working. Yes. The day before yesterday. And the oh so exhausting reading of e-mail.

It might not be him. It could be pillows, or a pile of sleepy gremlins, or, hey, it could be a giant puppet-Xander made out of Xander's clothes with a lot of twinkies for filling and a stuffed frog for a head.

Or it could just be Xander with a stuffed frog on his head.

"This is totally the best way to wake up *ever*," Bridge says cheerfully.

Xander can think of a couple that might be slightly better, but rather than argue it, he just makes a note to try one of them next time.

"I'm not hating it," he murmurs instead, ruffling Bridge's hair.

"Hey," Bridge protests, but there's no real annoyance behind it. And besides, the hair-ruffling is reminding him of something. "I bought green dye," he informs Xander.

"...The best part of waking up is green dye in your cup?" Xander sort of remembers there's a green dye thing, but his brain's still catching up a little.

"I think I'm s'posed to put it on, not drink it," Bridge replies. "Unless it's some weird new kind where you do have to do that."

"Oh, your hair." There might be more ruffling.

"Yep," Bridge grins. "Wanna help?"

"We're not turning your hair green forever, right?" Xander checks.

"Noooo," Bridge says, wide-eyed. "Only a week or two, at the most. I think."

"Good. I'm all for playing around, but I kinda like your hair this color."

"Kind of attached to it myself," Bridge admits.

"Well, yeah." Xander tugs lightly on it. "You do seem to be."

"Course, to do this thing we may actually have to leave the bed," Bridge points out.

Xander makes a face. The frog falls off his head. "How much do you actually want green hair again?"

Bridge just gives Xander a look. "Even if we weren't dying my hair we'd have to get up *eventually*," he points out.

Xander sighs. "True that. Unless you got a lot better at telekinesis."

"Not so much," Bridge admits, and begins the disentangling-from-Xander part of getting up. Slowly.

Xander tries very hard not to make whiny noises about that. He mostly succeeds.

"I can threaten to withhold kisses if you don't get up too," Bridge says. He can threaten. He... probably wouldn't actually follow through on that, though.

"That would be mean." Xander's looking around near the bed for a clean pair of shorts as he says it, mind you.

"And we all know how me and mean go together," Bridge says solemnly, rifling through his bag for his SPD sweats. Because hair dye + uniform = probably a bad idea.

"Breakfast first or after?" Xander asks, now possessed of pantslike items.

The grumbly noise from Bridge's stomach answers *that* question better than any words could. "Um?"

"Pancakes, waffles, or cereal?"

Bridge thinks about this. "Waffles?" he says finally. "With bacon. Not in the waffles. But don't tell my grandparents. Not that you know them."
