While the Policeman's ball had been a fun ending to a productive week, and Monday had even started well, Xander's anniversary this month? DO NOT WANT.

Which is why, now that Bridge is feeling better, Xander's got his apartment all set up for a romantic evening.

You know. Pizza, highly-caffeinated soda, Galaxy Quest dvds.

"Mmm, much better," Bridge murmurs happily.

"That didn't distract you from the warp core breaches?"

"These are just the opening credits," Bridge points out. "No breaches yet. Unless they were quiet ones."

"Actually I think we're missing the bloodworms trying to breach Captain Taggart's head." Xander points to the screen.

"...Oh." That'd be Bridge turning all (okay, most) of his attention to the screen now.

That'd be Xander sneaking another slice of pizza.

"I hope you're going to share that," Bridge says.

"The slice?" Xander asks, cocking his head at it.

"Well, if you are not going to get one for me too." Yes, Bridge is perfectly capable of getting his own.

Xander wordlessly hands the slice over and reaches for another.

Bridge beams at him. "Best boyfriend ever." He pauses for a second. "...Who I love for many, many reasons, and not just the fact that you provide me with pizza. Though pizza is great, but it's not so great for, say, making out with. Or watching movies with. Though I guess I sort of am watching movies with pizza but that's not what I mean, I mean I'm not sitting curled up next to pizza, and pizza does not make me feel like I am the luckiest person in the entire universe."

"I'm torn between awwww and my brain breaking at the idea of you making out with pizza."

"Well, the idea is all you're gonna get, 'cause I don't intend to try it."

"Good, because if I had to punch the pizza, nobody would be happy."

"It would end messily, that's for sure," Bridge says solemnly.

"Kind of like that Lurvok. ....eww." Xander points at the screen.

Cue Bridge turning the colour of one of his favourite shirts. And no, it's not the blue shirt.

Xander catches that and says somewhat apologetically, "Would it help if I told you they did that effect with spaghetti, shaving cream, brussel sprouts and red food coloring?"

"They used spaghetti, shaving cream, brussel sprouts and red food coloring. Also I think Play-Doh for that thing with his ear."
