"So we're on seven, right?" Xander asks Bridge as he strikes a match. He knows the answer, because it's not exactly the first Hanukkah celebration he's been to (not even counting the previous six nights) but it never hurts to confirm with the experts.

[OOC: Shh, yes, we know 2023 wouldn't match up with this year's Jewish calendar. Shh. It's another dimension and G-d knows these guys are so timefrakked anyway that who knows what day it really is for them. OH ALSO open for the locals, and/or calls from FH friends.]

"Technically it's been now for six days now," Xander pointed out, lighting the seventh candle.

"Yeah, for some reason I thought it had, like, already happened and I missed it," Z said because her player can't resist a dash of meta.

"Y'know, I had that feeling too," Xander admitted. "I think the calendar on my laptop is still a little wonky from all the time-travel."

"Stupid time travel," Z said. "So how's Hannukah '23 going so far?"

[needsaparrot]

"I haven't burnt the place down yet," Xander replied. "I'm counting that as a plus. And? Chocolate coins are never, ever a bad thing."

Z laughed. "Guess I can't argue with that. And please don't burn the place down. They just got done remodeling it."

Xander snorted. "If I burned the place down, guess who'd have to repair it?"

"What, regular battle damage doesn't give you enough to keep you busy?" Z asked him.

"Like I'm dumb enough to jinx the safety of the Earth by saying no?" Even if there was, in fact, an almost Sunnydale-esque pattern of downtime followed by OMGPANIC followed by more downtime.
