Nobody much cares where you sit, since it's not like there's a bride's side, or like Xander and Bridge don't share all the same friends, but the green fabric deck chairs are separated by a white runner anyway.

Lit on either side by softly-muted glow-balls, it leads down to a chupah that's -- contain your shock -- just as green.

In fact, it looks pretty much like this:

Anakin made a face. "Thanks," he said dryly. "Give me a complex. Congratulations, though. Truly."

"Thanks. Sorry for the complex," Mary said rubbing the hair on his head. "Got plenty of my own. How about you and Rory? Any plans for some bundles of joy soon?"

Anakin shook his head. "Not for a while," he said. "The family tree gets complicated enough with Fandom sending me a fully grown granddaughter. Adding another round of Skywalkers--well, not for a bit, no."

Of course, Luke and Leia hadn't exactly been planned, either...

Marty blinked at Anakin a couple of times. "Okay. I knew you were gone for a while but grandchildren?"

"That was pretty much my reaction, too," he admitted. "Get this. My daughter marries Han Solo."

"You have no idea how badly I wish I were," Anakin said, pursing his lips. "My children have terrible taste. Luke marries an assassin."

Marty crossed his arms at that. "Sometimes assassins aren't all bad. Hopefully this one is reformed?"

"Not when I knew her," Anakin said, "and she yelled at me when she came for Parents Weekend."

And that was the part that was important, yes, Anakin.

"Okay but she's reformed now, right?" Marty asked. "Because that's the important thing. I mean sure what she did was bad in the past but she's making up for it right?"

There was a long pause. "Probably," Anakin finally grumbled. "Luke wouldn't have married her otherwise. They have a son now." He gave Marty a shy smile. "Would you like to see a picture?"

Such a grandfather.
