Nobody much cares where you sit, since it's not like there's a bride's side, or like Xander and Bridge don't share all the same friends, but the green fabric deck chairs are separated by a white runner anyway.

Lit on either side by softly-muted glow-balls, it leads down to a chupah that's -- contain your shock -- just as green.

In fact, it looks pretty much like this:

He let out a breath, not having heard that nickname in a while. "Parkie," he replied and then glanced down at his feet, showing off his shoes. "I'm good, but thanks. I don't think I'd fit in those anyway."

Parker chortled, having half-forgotten the corresponding nickname, and reached out for a one-armed hug. "Good, I'd have to get more ammo for objectors and rabble-rousers if you did. How are you doing?"

"Can't complain," he replied, returning the hug, not unaware that these didn't come easy. "How's life treating you?"

"Good." Parker was half-aware that people had been worried about him, but not having any details, didn't feel like she could pry. "Stressful, but good. Plotting the downfall of evil minions. Burning up London dance floors. Visiting ex's in New York." She grinned. "Getting strippers for bachelor parties. You know. The usual mayhem. It's good to see you here."

"Sounds busy enough," he agreed and even if she had pried, weddings were hardly the place to talk about the end of the world. He was going to do his best to prove that there was no need to worry, too. "You look good, too."

Parker grinned wide, possibly looking a little, tiny bit smug. "Thanks. What are you up to now? I've totally lost track. I'm in London 'til school starts again in October. Aside from the crazy road-trip with Zero we've got planned."

"Nothing fancy," he said with a shrug of his shoulder, being more careless about it than he was. "I'm up with Sam in Colorado right now. I've been working in a mountain gear shop."

"Coooool," Parker said approvingly. Sam would have his back if there was any trouble going on. "That's got to be fun. I'm glad you could make it to this. I'm probably going to Homecoming in October, but this is less frenzied. Also, less risk of gremlins, ponies, or wee-tiny-people."

"I hadn't really thought about it," Cameron admitted. "I've been just winging it really. I did buy a pretty cool care that Sam's been helping me fix up."

"You're both welcome in Oxford, any time you want a break. Though I have to admit, the driving opportunities suck, so no fun for you there," Parker said candidly. "But if you guys want to come over for any reason, I have crash space. Not to mention two month-long breaks before June, when I head to China. Keep it in mind, if you're looking for something else to do in a while."

He was... good at avoiding things right now, but he nodded. "Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. So China?"

"China! Total language immersion. Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing. Ten weeks!" Parker might be looking forward to this too much. "I'm just sad I can't be there during the Olympics, although it's probably a madhouse. And I'd probably have to miss this wedding, so just as well." She bounced up a little on her toes, looking pleased. "Then I have to start applying to law schools, but I have another year to worry about that."

Parker swatted at his arm, grin widening further. "No, I plan on taking the Great Wall first, then demanding their silks, what do you think?"

"Damn straight!" Parker grinned and leaned in to give him a quick kiss on the cheek, if he didn't duck away fast. "Gotta go talk to the grooms. Save me a dance at the reception?"
