"Grilled cheese sammiches!" There was a pause and then a slightly chastened voice adding, "Nuh-uh, we ated 'em all. But but but! They're easy to make oh em gee. Could makes more!"

"You could," Anders said. "And it's three hours earlier here. Wanna come have more with me?"

"Aww." It wasn't that the palpable disappointment in Anders's voice came from knowing there were no grilled cheese sammiches with a wee Xander on the horizon so much as he was pretty sure this would be over on Monday and he wouldn't get to see it. "Well, rain check maybe? Next time I see you?"

"Okays! That's gonna be soooon, right?"

"Not soon enough, dude," Anders said. "But soon!"

"We're comin' to see yous for getting marrieds." Of course, in Xander's wee head, this will also be a wee Bridge, as is only right and proper.

And for Anders's own sanity he was also picturing a wee Bridge -- which was not exactly a mental image he had to work at concocting. But still, the holy-frak of it all hit him all over again and he had to cover the receiver with one hand and let out a strangled "Holy crap holy crap holy crap!"

"Uh huh," he said once that moment of necessary venting was out of the way. "You as excited about that as I am?"

"Yeah-huh! Even though we did it befores too."

"Which I missed, so you definitely have to come out here and do it again," Anders said solemnly.

"Maybe this time we should make a movie for peoples to watch so we don't haves to keep doing it over and over again!"
