You know what you should probably take away from an almost-six year old person who, after a very busy day (and a very busy week) has already had dinner and dessert?

A phone that makes Twinkies.

For several reasons, all of them obvious.

Parker head-pillowed, and groaned. She hated that she was smiling over this.

The go-to guy next to her mumbled and turned over, and she patted his back, then got up to walk out onto the balcony to take the call, yawning loudly into the phone. "Xanderrrrrrrr."

"Hi! I had pancakes and sketti for breakfast yesterday and helped Tony build a moon rocket and today we went to the beach and made castles!

Parker grinned, and leaned against the railing, staring down over Central Park West. "Did you now. A moon rocket? And who's Tony, new kid?" She pulled her robe closer around her, and teased, "And do you know you woke me up? Again?"

"Tony gots lots of tools. And he said his dad makes rockets but I don't think I like that kind 'cause they're for shooting at peoples and that's not nice."

"Hunh." If Xander were randomly little again, then this could (a) be someone's kid who showed up on the Island, or (b) an adult who is now randomly small again too. God, this still messed with her head, every time. Now she was hoping they hadn't been playing with power tools. "And you're right. That's not nice. That's why we have peace talks. And the Olympics."

Parker chortled, loudly, and said, "Get Bridge to explain it. He's around somewhere, right? Getting you the spaghetti and letting you make random phone calls on your Twinkie phone?"

Bridge might not be compleeeeetely aware of that second part. "Uh-huh! And he helped make castles and I was the boss and then I paid him with dinner helpings."

"Very good! Paying people back is important." Parker grinned, and thought of how payback for this might go. "Did you get to play with any other kids, like last year? I remember you played in my room, with Aly and Benton. And Jeremiah-the-frog. And had cookies."

"Uh-huh! Tony's a kid. And we played on the beach with Sarah Louise. She gots red hair like Willow and she's good at castles."

"Awesome." Parker grinned, a little wistful. "Wish I could be there to play with you." And fill you full of ice cream, and give you back to Bridge. In absence of nieces, spoiling the actual parent was the next best thing. "But I'll be seeing you pretty soon, right?"

Xander's concept of exactly what'll be happening at that point is a little fuzzy, but he does have some idea. "Yuh-huh! For getting marrieds! ...Again."

"Yup! Isabel's going to have it all fixed! Just like last time." She laughed softly. "But I promise me and Sharon Valerii won't object this time. We'll all be good."

Did she? Coooooool." Parker grinned, then asked, "So, what should I get you for the wedding thing? Another frog? Ding-dongs? A giraffe?"

She really wanted to get him a mariachi band or a marching band. Ooo. Heh. Maybe. Although Isabel might kill her.

"I could do that." She could, too. "Professor Ted had Earl. I could totally get you one." Parker yawned again, shaking her head. "But I don't know where you'd keep it."

Hmm. Thaaaaat would serve Bridge right for not supervising his mini-fiancee'. Heh.

"Bridge gots a giraffe. Tedgiraffe. He's gonna come live with me an' Notzillafroggie."

She was getting too used to this, was the thing. Isabel and Bridge, and Bronwyn and Pandora and Artemis and Victoria and Madison, and it was so normal to be talking to a little person that didn't exist. Hoo boy.

Bringing up Bronwyn might break mini-Xander's brain, though. It was a wonder the marriage thing hadn't, but then, he *had* gotten married while wee-tiny. "And live in the future, with Bridge being a Space Cop. Yup. I can visit then, right?"

"Yuh-huh! Everybody gots to come visit and see the giant robotses."

Parker snickered. A lot. "Wooooo. As long as that little creepy chickie doesn't show up again. With that horned guy." She shook her head. "I still have her doll, and I'm not giving it back."

"I didn't like her." Xander could vaguely recall getting kicked in the shin, plus there was lots of yelling. "She was mean."

"Very mean. But we made her go away." Parker grinned. "And Bridge will keep you safe from her always, so that's good. And you'll... hunh." She cocked her head. "What are you gonna do? Keep him safe too?"

"Yeah-huh. That's my job."

"Of course," Parker said, voice softening as she looked back into her hotel room at the guy sleeping there. "That's what married people do." She took a breath. "And friends! When they need it. So yeah." Tilting her head, she asked, "Want me to send you a pizza? Wherever you are right now?"
