MCA 0: Sunday Night

Xander is exhausted when he finally makes it back to his apartment, and not the good kind of engagement-announcing, Parker-tormenting, hard work and butt-bow-threatening kind of exhaustion.

No, this would be more the missing fiancé, teleporting to Greece, climbing Mount Olympus, hey-let's-play 20-questions-with-the-gods kind of exhaustion. Plus there was hopscotch.

You'd think some of that would go away after he discovered Bridge had been rescued, but not so much. Xander's still bone-weary with worry, and probably will be until he makes it inside and sees him face-to--- "Bridge?"

"I was- they put me in this cave... thing? Only it wasn't really a cave since there wasn't any way out, but then you were there only you weren't because you kept *leaving*, everyone did..." he babbles.

"I was there?" Xander's confused for a second, but then his expression darkens. "Somebody was messing with your head."

"Nightmares," Bridge nods. "You, Anders, Isabel, Z... you were there and then you weren't. There was just me."

"I kinda hate him," Xander growled. "Only without the kinda."

"Not disagreeing here," Bridge says. He frowns for a moment, because there's something important kind of nagging at him. "Um, what day is it?" He's pretty sure he'd been gone for longer than just a few hours, but the passage of time hadn't exactly been something he'd paid a lot of attention to during the nightmares.

"Sunday?" Xander answers, a bit concerned because it hasn't been that long. "You were gone overnight. Me too, since we ended up spending the night on the side of Mount Olympus."

"Mount *Olympus*?" Bridge repeats. Sure, Xander had mentioned Greece, but somehow he hadn't made the connection to Olympus. Though he supposed it made sense, given that Hades was a Greek god and all. "I missed Anders' birthday," he explains, looking sheepish. "Oh, man..."

"Everybody missed Anders' birthday," Xander corrects him. "He was in Greece too - on the other mission-team."

Bridge can't help but smile a little at that. "Sounds like something Anders would do," he admits.

"And Wyatt. They kidnapped Isabel too."

"Z too," Bridge says quietly. "I saw her after- after they got us all out," and now he's wondering why he didn't see Isabel, but there had been so many people...

Xander pushes him away a little, just to arm-length so he can look at Bridge's face. "You really okay?"

There is a flash of... something, in Bridge's eyes, as Xander pushes him away, and his grip on Xander's hand tightens, just a little.

"They were just dreams," he says."That's all."

"Yeah, they were." Xander pulls him back again, and slips one arm around him, the other still holding his hand. "I'm not going anyplace."

"Good," Bridge says, resting his head on Xander's shoulder. "M'not losing you again."

"I've got a return to sender stamp, remember?"

Which gets a laugh out of Bridge. "I do remember. Sorry I'm being all clingy," he adds after. "I'm just- I *need*-"

Xander reaches to touch Bridge's face, fingers under his chin. "I'm here. I will always be here, long as I've got a say in it. And speaking as the clingee, I kinda don't mind."

Bridge grins at that. "That's good. Because letting go is something I really, really don't want to do right now."

"That works for me," Xander answers, leaning down for a kiss.

Which Bridge responds to in the only way possible: that is, the 'hi, it's been like two days since the last time we had a chance to do this, and I spent most of that time stuck in my worst nightmare' way.

Which Xander can't compare his own weekend with, but Bridge gone missing in reality? Up there in the top 10 at least. So yeah. He's giving as good as he's getting.

And while part of him would be perfectly content to just do this all night (sleep, yeah right), there's another part of Bridge's brain that's currently occupied with trying to figure out how to get the two of them out of clothes without actually letting go of Xander.

Mmm, contortionism. Xander could possibly help with that. A sleeve here, a hand sliding down to a fly there...

A helpful wiggle or two and isn't teamwork awesome? Bridge certainly thinks so.

Xander's a fan of teamwork. Well, not, you know. Entire teams. If threesomes are extra, he's not sure he wants to know about orgies and no, he's not thinking all that clearly now, thank you for asking. Orgy of two? That he can do.

Yeahno, orgies would not be Bridge's idea of good teamwork. So really, perhaps partnership would be the better word.

Either way, it's a good thing that sex in the living room is a frequent enough occurrence that they're well-prepared for the eventuality.

Admittedly on Xander's part, that eventuality tends to include either rug-burn or a crick in his neck from the couch, but seriously? Small price to pay, dude.
