Okay, Xander, not usually a candlelight kind of guy, but then today's not exactly a usual kind of day. When you've been dating somebody for eighty-five years, give or take one, or possibly that's the other way around, your anniversary ought to be a little out of the ordinary, right?

Right, a little. Right. So Xander's taken the time to set up various things picked up on the mainland yesterday, as well as one retrieved from the Post Office, express mail from Brazil. The apartment's flickering with soft gold light, and Xander's waiting more than a little nervously for Bridge to let himself in.

This is a good idea, right? Right. Really. Right. Right.

Funny how much shimmying is necessary -- by some definitions of the word -- to complete that process.

And after the shimmying there is... slightly bewildered staring.

"...What?" Xander glances down at himself -- as it were -- self-consciously, naked now except for the necklace nestled between... well, okay, it doesn't usually nestle, admittedly.

"I just- I mean, in theory, I know the... the process," Bridge babbles, turning an interesting shade of red. "I just don't actually know, I mean, when you're normal-you, I know what makes you, um... but now, not so much."

Xander can't help the smartass snort. Which is very ladylike, he's sure. "Not like I would know that either."

"Well, yeah, but you've... you've probably got more of an idea than me," Bridge points out.

It's true that he's at least done this before from the other end of the wow is that going to make Xander giggle if he finishes that sentence even in his head.

"You're doing just fine," he says instead. "But I could?" He reaches for Bridge's hand, presses a kiss to the palm, then moves it back to the area that brings up the whole nestle issue. "That... that could be good."

"Yeah?" Bridge says softly, his fingers moving in a slow inward spiral.

A brush of his thumb across a particularly is it cold in here or is that sweater just really clingy spot turns Xander's answer into an incoherent moan.

Bridge grins a little, and then because, hey, there's two of those and he's got two hands...

Ooh, wiggly. Bridge is a fan of that reaction, which is why he's ducking his head down to replace fingers with tongue.

A stuttery exhale as Xander throws his head back, fingers threading through Bridge's hair.

Bridge's hands, meanwhile, are back to doing the exploring thing. Which they've been doing a lot, yes, but it's something he never gets tired of, even with Xander as his normal self... and besides, unlike earlier, there's now nothing at all between his hands and Xander's skin.

So he's probably picking up how much that kind of feels like sticking your tongue in a light socket, from the inside. Every touch, every breath across Xander's skin is familiar and alien at the same time.

He is, yeah, and there's even the sparks in his vision to go along with it as he lifts his head up for another kiss.

Which Xander is all too happy to grant him.

And during the course of that kiss, Bridge pulls Xander all the way down on to the bed with him.

Horizontal is... well, okay, it's a little nervousmaking, but it's also good. Like, capital G good, and by the way oh HI THERE bit that I don't currently have but at least one of us does.

"Hi," Bridge says softly once horizontal-ness is achieved.

Bits, plural Xander corrects in his head, a little feverishly. "Hi," he says back, aloud.

"And you've got something *I* don't have at the moment," Bridge points out, a little unneccessarily.

"Lack of telepathy?" Xander grins.

"Also that, yes," Bridge grins back.

"Among other things, yeah." Xander slides the edge of his hand down Bridge's bicep, kind of amused that whoa, hi arms hasn't remotely changed in this body.
