So... while the mistletoe hanging over Jeremiah's tank was probably not too much Christmas spirit, Xander would admit if pressed that the Sta-Puft Marshmallow snow landscape arranged around it, complete with wee marshmallow snowpeople in santa hats, might be a little... Let's just say he's fairly certain Isabel would approve.

But hey, it's cold out there and warm in here, there's eggnog on the coffeetable, and Bitterwoman: A Very Bitter Holiday is playing on at least three channels tonight; he checked. Who is Xander to fight the inevitable?

"Well, see, she's bitter," Xander says, like that really needs explaining.

"Right," Bridge says. "But... isn't Christmas supposed to be about cheer?"

"She goes shopping for Christmas presents at the mall." Xander shudders. "On December 23rd."

"So she wouldn't be bitter if she made the effort to plan a more effective holiday schedule," Bridge concludes. "Got it. I think."

Xander shakes his head as he picks up his mug of eggnog. "See, you came in halfway through. She has everything bought by like, the day after Thanksgiving, and then like, half her family shows up and moves in, and it all goes to hell."

"Okay, that much I can believe," Bridge says, resting his head against Xander's shoulder. "There a happy ending, at least?"

"Well, sure. There's even dancing trees. After she barricades herself in the kitchen and drinks three pitchers of eggnog."

"I don't know about you, but where I'm from if the trees were dancing that means they're evil and need to be destroyed."

"They were also singing Christmas songs." Xander takes another sip of eggnog. "...I realize this doesn't invalidate your theory."

"Yeah, there are records of evil singing-related incidents," Bridge admits.

"But at least there was eggnog!"

"You make a good point," Bridge says, tilting his head and looking at Xander thoughtfully.

Said point might be dulled a little by the fact that this is his second cup of nog. "I do?" Xander tilts back at him.

"Uh huh," Bridge nods, and then leans in closer and kisses Xander enthusiastically before pulling back with a triumphant expression on his face.

"....Mrrf?" Xander says intelligently.

"I was right!" Bridge says triumphantly.

"About what?"

"Eggnog tastes pretty good, but eggnog and Xander tastes even better." It makes sense. To him.

Xander snickers. "Xander Harris, ladies and gentlemen. He slices, he dices, he improves the flavor of eggnog. He's a floor wax and a dessert topping."

Bridge giggles, doing that nose-touchy thing. It's possible he's had a couple of cups himself, yes. "Thought you liked it better t'other way around."

"Dessert on top of m-- oh." Xander gives him a look that's entirely not not-dirty. "Hey, I can be flexible!"

Bridge giggles again. "Oh yeah?" he says, shifting position so that he's suddenly sitting on *top* of Xander, facing him.

Xander manages to set his mug down without spilling much of the remaining eggnog. Which... is pretty flexible, actually. "I can be, yeah."

"Prove it," Bridge says, going in for another kiss. Meanwhile, one hand is working its way into Xander's jeans.
