MCA0, Friday night

Xander's on the couch with his laptop out, poking at the books for (Y)MCA. Damn if it hasn't been a busy month, between new tenants and repair jobs coming in. Not that he can complain; it'll give him something to answer when his fellow grads ask what he's been up to besides "went bowling, ate challah, and watched Dawn turn eighteen for the second time." That and reassure them that the fine upstanding Fandom tradition of crazy people on the radio hasn't died out.

Bridge does, on occasion, actually remember that he has a key that he's allowed to use. Which is why he lets himself in to the apartment and wanders over to the couch.

He's a decent actor, but not that decent - jumping an inch doesn't make up for the fact that there's no way he could've missed the door opening.

"Nice try," Bridge says with a smirk.

"Hey, I could be deeply immersed in this spreadsheet. You don't know." Except for how he's several inches taller than Willow and has various other anatomical differences as well.

"Actually," Bridge says, tapping his temple. "Sudden, drastic changes in emotion such as surprise or fear? Kind of noticeable." Well, and also he's, you know, *met* Xander.

"Cheater."

"Sorry," Bridge looks sheepish.

"And now he brings in the big guns with the puppy eyes! Can Harris recover from this one-two punch, or is he down for the count?"

Bridge snickers. "Well, I'm pretty sure I still owe you something for you letting me win that argument last week," he slides on to the couch so that he's sitting next to Xander.

"Yeah? What did you have in mind?" Not that he can remember which argument he let Bridge win last week.

"Well, I was thinking..." Bridge pauses to lean over and... make sure all the documents currently open on Xander's laptop are saved properly before he shuts it down and moves it out of the way. "Thinking we could start off with something like..." and *that* would be when he actually does lean over to kiss Xander.

"Mmmphmmmm..." would be Xander's rebuttal, if he really had any notions of rebuttery, but mostly he doesn't because he's too busy. "S'a good start," he agrees eventually.

"Mmm, and far from over," Bridge informs Xander as he pulls away slightly in order to stand up. The awayness part doesn't last long at all as he's soon tugging Xander *with* him.

"I think I like the direction this plan seems to be going," Xander mutters with a grin, since said direction would appear to be out-of-this-room-ward.

"Thought you might," Bridge says with a grin as he pulls Xander towards the bedroom.

"Cheater." Not that Xander's complaining. At all.

"Am not!" Bridge protests, trying to sound indignant, but the grin doesn't really help with the believability, there. The door then shuts behind the two of them with a click as Bridge gets to work on enacting said plan.
