MCA#0, Thursday Night

After a night of patrolling with Mel turned into Slayerfest 2007, Xander had decided to pass on following that up with a trip to Caritas, and had instead headed home to relax. He could thus now be found curled up on the couch poking Amazon.com about a new copy of a certain book, now that his laptop was all shipshape and internets-getting again, post-blackout.

"...Sure." Xander is fully aware that with Bridge, that might mean ...and the morning and the evening were the first day... but he's willing to risk it. He likes the sound of Bridge's voice, after all. Even if it currently seems to be issuing from a ferret.

//I was just out in the Preserve, because sometimes the cabins are just... too many people, all at once, you know? And just thinking about stuff, and then Ronan was there, and he seemed pretty upset.// he pauses, trying to figure out how much detail to go in to without actually betraying Ronan's confidence. //He'd made a really hard decision pretty recently, and was dealing with the after-effects of it... kinda badly.// Not that Bridge knows at all what that's like. //So we talked for a while, and then I leaned back against a tree and was a ferret again. Xander takes that in as he carries Bridge over to the couch. ...where the computer is still open to the Amazon page about the book, yes.

"So we hope that you change back completely randomly too?"

"...Possibly. If we mean 'Did I lose my old copy somewhere in Tenerife.'"

"Well, it's not that I need the reference manual..." Xander coughs. "But the pictures are nice."

"I ran across some guy studying it in the park this week." Xander frowns. "And then he pointed out that the new sheriff's name sounds like a porn star, so I may have to hate him forever."
