Xander rolled out of bed this morning completely unaware of any weirdness of the day, though it being Fandom he was sure there was some, somewhere. He wasn't really trying to guess what, though; instead he was pondering (by way of hands-on experimentation) one of life's eternal questions: is it really evil to cheat at pancakes? Does making the batter yourself make them taste better?

"I woked up and I was all 'lone," Bridge says to Xander's knees. "No Anders and no Xanders. Well there was Mac and PC and Cammoll'sc and RIC but they's not peoples. But I didn't tell them that cause then they'd be sad. So I came'd here instead cause I didn't wanna be by myself anymore."

"All the way across town, all by yourself?" Because okay, yeah, Fandom does seem to have a way of looking out for idiots, drunks, and tiny children, but that doesn't mean Xander can't retroactively worry.

"I wasn't 'lone, I had Tedgiraffe," Bridge insists. Completely ignoring the fact that he'd just *said* he was all by himself.

Xander crouches down to get a better look. "Oh, yeah. Well, that's different, then."

"I thought so!" Bridge agrees with a nod. He thinks about something for a moment, before holding his arms out in the universal 'plz pick me up now' gesture.

Yeah, that's pretty much un-disobeyable. "Xander scoops up Bridge and Tedgiraffe, and carries them into the apartment. "You want pancakes? They're totally non-cheaty."

"Yeah!" Bridge smiles. "I didn't have breakfasts yet, I camed here first thing cause I missed you."

Wow, it's a good thing he's not like this very often, or Xander would be totally wrapped around his little, little finger.

Unlike other times, la.

"I missed you too." It's been seven years since he's seen Bridge like this, after all. Xander hugs him close for a second, then carries him into the kitchen. "Blueberry or chocolate chip?"

Bridge thinks very, very hard about this. "...Both?" he says uncertainly, unable to decide.

Xander laughs. "We can do that." Without setting Bridge down, he grabs an empty plate and does a not-too-shabby one-handed job of transferring to it an ovalish blueberry pancake and a chocolate chip one shaped like the head of several different cartoon mices. Which would probably be cooler if he'd intended to make it look like that.

Xander puts the plate on the table, where there's already silverware. Which, okay, had been meant for him, but it's not like he can't grab more.

"There's juice too, but I kinda need to put you and Tedgiraffe down to pour you some," he says.

"It could be on a chair," Xander points out, doing that, somehow, despite the sad face. "In front of some pancakes."

"You're gonna sit down too, right? After you gets the juice?" Bridge asks. What? Never hurts to check.

Xander grabs two glasses, a plate and some silverware for himself, and dials up some juice, before bringing it all over to the table. "Yup. I mean, I could eat standing up, but then I'd spill maple syrple all over myself."

Bridge giggles at that. "You are very silly," he informs Xander, before taking a big sip of juice.

"I try," Xander says. "I trained for the Silly Olympics one year, but they disqualified me on account of I remembered to show up for the game."
