Xander? Hiding out in his apartment channel-surfing and avoiding all contact with humanity instead of venturing out in public? After a meeting at the birthday party he and Peter had thrown for a certain advice-giving BFF had led directly to something he was unsuccessfully desperately avoiding thinking about, last night in the park?

"He--" Xander stopped and, much as he'd been trying to avoid it, rewound the events of last night in his head. He hadn't thought much about how hard Bridge was pushing him, too busy trying not to give in, then feeling lower than dirt because he had. "Yesterday, he was... off."

Looking at it now, that seemed ridiculously understated. "He wasn't wearing his gloves, and... stuff happened. I should've known there was something wrong."

"The gloves. Didn't notice the -- d'you have a spare pair lying around?" asked Anders. "And yeah, glad I'm not the only one who thinks he hasn't been, like, himself lately. Something's definitely wrong. RIC's tracking him."

"Not like Bridge's gloves, but I've got work ones." Xander, cellphone cradled between ear and shoulder, was already grabbing his jacket, then fishing around in a drawer for an extra pair of gloves. "Where are you guys?"

"Heading out of the dorms," Anders replied, tugging irritatedly at his shirt collar as he tried to negotiate the stairs. "Not sure where exactly we're headed, jus' followin' RIC. Stay on th'line an' I'll keep you posted, though. Meet us out in town?"
