MCA0: Saturday Night

So after this morning, Xander had a pretty good idea what he'd end up doing with the rest of his day. And definitely wouldn't be doing with his evening. Well, actually, there are any number of things he won't be doing, like ingesting things with umbrellas, drunk-dialing Parker, reading the news, opening the office, or renovating a brothel, but if you narrow the category to Stuff One Does In One's Apartment With One's Boyfriend then it gets a little more obvious.

But hey, there are other Things One Can Do. Or, more accurately, Things Two Can Do. Like have a nice nutritious dinner.

Spaghettios are nutritious, right?

"Cupcakes?" Bridge asks hopefully. "Cupcakes is good."

"I like that plan. We should see what kind of flavors we can get the synthesizerer to make."

"Okay let's go!" Bridge says, running over to tug on Xander's hand as soon as he finishes up his bowl of spaghettio's. "Come on!"

Xander giggles. It's, you know, a manly giggle, but it's still a giggle. "Bowls go in the sink first. Then cupcakes."

"Okay okay hurry!" Bridge insists, still not letting go of Xander's hand.

"Okay okay I'm hurrying!" Xander dumps the bowls and spoons in the sink, then reaches down to swing Bridge up to his hip. "Now, which one's the cupcake button?"

"Hmmmmm..." Bridge peers at all the different buttons. This was still very very different from his 'chine. "This one!" he reaches out and presses one.

"...I think that's the pickle button."

"Ewwwwww," Bridge buries his face in Xander's shoulder. "Don't want pickles. You picks!"

Xander moves the pickle gingerly aside and pushes two more buttons, one after the other. "...Sushi buttons."

"The 'chine is doing it wrong," Bridge grumbles. "There's sposed to be cupcakes!"

"Let's try this one." Xander presses the button he's pretty sure he remembers being "Baked desserts of some kind" twice, followed by the one he knows is Choklit.

Oooh, cupcakey.

"Did it work?" Bridge turns around to peek at it curiously.

"It looks like a cupcake!"

"Then we gotta taste tests it!" Bridge says.

Xander picks it up and holds it within Bridge's reach. "Maybe you should test it."

"Kay," Bridge says, carefully taking the cupcakes, and then not-so-carefully taking as big a bite as he can manage. "S'good!" he reports, not actually waiting until he's finished said bite to do so.
