Nobody much cares where you sit, since it's not like there's a bride's side, or like Xander and Bridge don't share all the same friends, but the green fabric deck chairs are separated by a white runner anyway.

Lit on either side by softly-muted glow-balls, it leads down to a chupah that's -- contain your shock -- just as green.

In fact, it looks pretty much like this:

"So . . . what are we calling all of you, anyway?" asked Anders. "There's no bride so you're not really bridesmaids, and I could call you Bridgemaids but that would make it sound like Xander doesn't have any, and . . ."

She had to think about it for a second. "I'm thinking we're the wedding party. It's nice and gender neutral."

Anders threw his head back and chuckled as they headed down the aisle. "Only in the sense that someone might misinterpret it in a dirty way, and we all know the odds of that are good."

"Point," he conceded. "And after my little, uh, wardrobe malfunction last night I'm just glad we escaped any incidents so far."

Anders snorted. "Oh, gods. Yeah. Um. My swim trunks and I had a little bit of a violent disagreement in the pool."

"That's right," she laughed. "Parker mentioned something earlier but I was too distracted to ask for details. What happened?"

"There was diving," Anders said offhandedly, or as offhandedly as he could manage. "I went one way, they went the other. But apparently I got a really good score from the Lithuanian judge."

"I'd be afraid of any sort of Olympics drinking game. Half the country would wind up dead of alcohol poisoning," she pointed out. "Do a shot every time they mention Michael Phelps. You'd be dead in one night."

"Exactly. I swear to god, there are times I want to reach through the TV and duct tape the announcers mouths shut," Isabel told him.

"Gah, yeah." Anders took in exactly how much distance was between them and the front of the aisle at this point, and given that it was maybe one or two steps he squeezed her arm. "And here's where I think we should do that, so I can get a good turn and kick off the wall for the next leg of my heat."
